You may first have heard the segway referred to as the "it" or "Ginger" but the Segway HT (for Human Transporter) is the best ride on two wheels. Come try it yourself and see what all the fuss is about!

Fell's Point dates back to November 1730, with the original land purchased by its founder William Fell. As we ride the sidewalks view the many incredibly tiny houses, taverns and shops that served the community from the 1790's and early 1800's. As we tour the district, imagine a plague ravaged neighborhood full of sailors, immigrants and the poor battling the English in the early 1800's only then to be thrown into Martial Law during the civil war as it was torn by allegiances to both the North and the South.

Designated as Maryland's first National Historic District, Fell's Point is now considered an upscale neighborhood with a strong artist community. Segway by the "trendy" waterfront restaurants, boutiques and pubs on our way to Robert Long's house dating back to 1765. Then, on to the waterfront and historic Patterson Park one of the oldest parks in Baltimore. Patterson Park is renowned as the site where Baltimoreans rallied on September 12, 1814 to protect the city from the threat of a British invasion. As we ride through the park, you will experience the capabilities of the segway and be exposed to the diversity of this unique neighborhood from regular local festivals in the park to the large Pagoda on Fort Hill.

Included in your two hour safari is 20 minutes of supervised training, helmet licence, bottled water and a fun and informative safari guide.

Segways are incredibly easy to use:

• they are self balancing, and move just like we do - lean forward to go forward, lean back to go back and stand still to stop
• they are fully battery powered, quiet and used primarily on the sidewalks

Operation of a Segway is:

• completely intuitive and training is included with the Safari tours - riders can usually operate the Segway with ease within 10 minutes
• lots of FUN! Glide at speeds up to 12.5 mph and get an up close personal look at the sites.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for all tours in Baltimore: Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses.

Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions.
